How to setup Chargeblast Alerts
Getting started with Chargeblast is very straight forward, and can be accomplished within 10 minutes.
To begin, you can create an account here and follow the onboarding instructions:
1. You will be prompted to get started with an email address of choice. Note: you'll be able to add additional account managers & admin within the main dashboard once the account has been created.
2. Next, you'll be asked to select your current payment processor. If you have multiple MIDs on different processors, you'll be able to submit enrollment for additional processing accounts after you have created one Chargeblast account.
3. Next, you'll select the alert types you would like to receive. You can find more information on each of the 3 alert types here.
4. Next, you'll submit the necessary onboarding information for each alert type (Billing Descriptors & Visa ARN codes). For context, these identifiers are what allow issuers to relay pre-dispute data to Chargeblast. If you cannot locate any ARNs from previous Visa refunds, or you've just opened a new merchant account, you can also submit your BIN/CAIDs. 5. You'll then be asked to set your transaction refund threshold for Visa RDR. Any Visa transacted dispute at or below this set threshold will be automatically refunded, and the dispute will be avoided. Anything above this threshold will reach the chargeback state. 6. Lastly, you'll be asked to insert your payment method. Please note that your enrollment will not be processed until a payment method has been attached to the account.
7. Lastly, if you're currently using a PSP that Chargeblast has a direct integration with (see here for a comprehensive list of all integrations), you'll be able to do so underneath the “Integrations” tab within Chargeblast.
You're now ready to start avoiding disputes with Chargeblast! Note that Ethoca enrollment will complete within 24 hours, while Visa RDR will complete in 1-2 weeks. You will receive emails from noreply@chargeblast.com whne enrollment has completed for each alert type.
