Do I need to connect to my Stripe account to use Chargeblast?
Discover whether it is necessary to establish a connection with your Stripe account in order to effectively perform certain tasks or work on a specific platform.
Your Stripe account contains sensitive data - we get it! We request the bare minimum scopes we need to perform our service. Additionally, while enabling the Stripe integration is recommended if you are processing on Stripe, it is optional, and you can still receive chargeback notifications without it - you simply won't be able to seamlessly route from alerts to transactions.
Any questions?
We take data security & privacy extremely seriously at Chargeblast. If you have any questions on our Stripe integration please reach out to our support!
Write Access
Invoices/Charges/PaymentIntents - we require write access to these objects to apply custom billing descriptors, which powers our billing descriptor override features.
Disputes - we require written access to the Dispute to push data to counter disputes on your behalf. In addition, having access to dispute data enables our support team to more rapidly troubleshoot.
We additionally require read-only scopes to the following objects. Read-only access means our system can view but not alter the data, making it less invasive.
Read Access
Customers - we require read access to Stripe customer objects to triangulate alerts to transactions
Events - we require read-only access to Events for troubleshooting purposes.
Accounts - we require read access to your account in order to display company names within the Chargeblast dashboard.
Webhook Endpoints - we receive charge data via webhooks to align alert data with your Stripe transactions.
